EMEAC hosted a food label reading and deconstruction workshop on May 9th, 2013. In the workshop, youth looked closely at the labels on several food products and analyzed how everything from the color used for the label to the ingredients list work to convince consumers that they are buying a healthy product that is good enough to feed their families. After deconstructing the labels, they then worked to create more truthful labels that would be easier for consumers to read. Great work EMEAC youth!
